2022
Football was in full swing again (Post-Covid).  Division I welcomed back Lakenheath as travel could take place across borders and the division was broken into two conferences (American: Stuttgart, K-town, Vilseck and National: Ramstein, Lakenheath, Wiesbaden) with a home and away format between conference opponents and one game each with non-conference opponents.  Every second year, the venue would change for non-conference opponents regarding travel.  In addition, no "bye week" was implemented resulting in an unprecedented seven regular season games and the potential for nine games if teams make it to the championship game.
Division II will feature four teams, both home/away games and will NOT play their championship in their home country this year.  The division consists of Naples, Vicenza, Aviano, and Rota. Traditional Division II school SHAPE will play in a separate league this year called the American Football International League.
Division III lost Hohenfels and Baumholder as there were not enough players to field a 6-man team.  This division will consist of AFNORTH, Alconbury, Ansbach, Brussels, Sigonella, and Spangdahlem.
