2015 Divisional Breakdown

Division II

Division II (12 teams) was still the largest division in 2015. Division II was split into 3 conferences, the North (4 teams), the Central (4 teams) and South (4 teams). The North was composed of Alconbury, Ansbach, Baumholder and AFNORTH. The Central was composed of ISB, SHAPE,Bitburg and Rota. The South had Hohenfels, Aviano, Naples, and Vicenza. Hohenfels was the South conference champion, Ansbach was the Central conference champion and Rota was the North conference champion. The championship game featured explosive runs, game changing turnovers and a wild finish as Ansbach defeated Rota 32-27.

Division I

Division I (6 teams) had great parity this year. Stuttgart, formerly known as Patch, moved to a new location and was rebranded as "Stuttgart." Lakenheath entered the playoffs for the first time in a decade, powered by a consistently successful ground game.  Ramstein ran through the regular season undefeated, but was upset by #4 seed Stuttgart in the semi-finals.  The exciting game experienced three lead changes in less than one minute of playing time, a trick "Hook and Ladder" play, and won with a field goal kicked with 4 seconds left by Kat Farrar, All-Europe Girls Soccer player.  The championship game featured Wiesbaden and Stuttgart. Stuttgart again won with a last minute 35-yard field goal by Farrar to win 10-7, the first championship won in its 62-year school history.

"Final 4" and "All Stars"

The SUPER 4 format was continued at Kaiserslautern's new turf field and redubbed "Final 4". The game was streamed by an excellent coalition of students from Ramstein and Kaiserslautern. The weather was excellent and attendance was good. The high temperature for the day was over 60 degrees, with plenty of sun. Both games were exciting and competitive. Fantastic job by Denny DePriest and the Kaiserslautern community as the hosts for the Final 4. Coach "Rat" led his team to a 5-3 record after finishing the regular season 3-3 and first championship for Stuttgart. The Kaiserslautern community hosted the All-Star game again this year with Team Glory vs. Team Honor. This year 64 players were chosen from 20 schools and placed in a draft. It was an exciting week of practice and a great game (and good weather), won in a nail biter, 20-14, by Team Glory. The margin of victory turned out to be the two FG's kicked by future Ball state kicker, Ryan Rimmler, one of which sailed off the turf 55 yards!
